Medina Hospital Celebrates 75 Years of Service
Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital opened on Oct. 22, 1944, and admitted its first patient the following day. Originally, the hospital was the four-bedroom home of the Theodore Weidner family but was converted into a 35-bed hospital during WWII. Today, the hospital has 148 beds, more than 300 physicians covering over 30 areas of specialization and some of the latest and most up-to-date medical technology. Medina County Public Transit Launches New App
The Medina County Public Transit is just one of 12 other Ohio transit agencies that recently launched on the EZFare mobile device app. The application, currently utilized by public transit lines in Ohio and Kentucky, is a fare payment system that allows riders to buy their bus tickets directly from their smartphone. To use, riders must download the app, choose the transit system they’re traveling with, enter their payment information and buy a ticket. This means each riders’ phone is their individual ticket. The app is free to download and is currently available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. More information about the app can be found at EZFare.us.
