Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs

The Medina County Show Biz Company presents Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs at the Haddad Theater in the Medina County Administration Building on weekends from March 8 until March 24. (There will be no show on March 17.) The play is directed by Bob Kenderes and will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Main Street Medina First Friday Events

Join Main Street Medina in the Historic District on the first Friday of every month for an evening of shopping, dining, live music, pop-up art shows, performances and themed celebrations. Most stores will stay open until 8 p.m., and admission is free. This month’s First Friday will take place on March 1. 

Medina County Welcomes New Transit Director

On Dec. 26, 2018, Shannon Rine began his first day as Medina County’s new transit director. Shannon accepted this position almost two months after his predecessor, Mike Salamone, resigned. According to The Medina Gazette, Shannon “held the position of general manager/safety director for Cleveland Lakefront Lines Coach USA” for the last two years and “previously held positions with the Greater Dayton RTA, Central Ohio RTA and Stark Area RTA, where he held leadership and supervisory roles within the organizations.” He also spent more than a decade working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, while he got his degree at Southeastern University.
