Bring out the hearty bowls of black bean chili and the warm mugs of crisp apple cider. There’s a nip in the air and children are beginning to plan what they’d like to dress up as for Halloween this year because it’s officially fall! I can’t even begin to express how much I love this season. The scarlet-colored leaves, the hand-knit boot toppers, the pumpkins, the pumpkin-flavored snacks–I love every bit of fall. In fact, there is only one thing I love more than fall, and that’s food. Luckily, the two complement one another perfectly. 

Cover to cover, this issue rejoices in all things delicious. From steak and lobster to a road trip that will leave your tummy full for at least a week, this issue holds nothing back when it comes to pure indulgence. Because, hey, there’s nothing wrong with indulging every once in a while. 

So sit back, relax, maybe enjoy a nice steeping bowl of hearty tomato soup while you flip through the pages of our October foodie issue. Seriously, make sure you have at least a snack or two on hand. I can’t tell you how many snack breaks I had to take while working on this food-themed issue. (What can I say? The heart wants what it wants.)
