Siedel’s Barber Shop Grand Opening Celebration

The Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Medina held a grand opening ceremony for Siedel’s Barber shop in April. Owner Jim LaMarca opened the shop three months prior to the celebration, but said that he scouted out countless locations before deciding on a spot close to Buehler’s Fresh Foods and Harbor Freight. The shop is recently renovated and features five chairs. Men’s haircuts are $16, razor cut shaves are $35 and beard trims are $8.

Brunswick High School to go to London

The Brunswick High School Marching Devils will play in London’s New Year’s Day Parade in 2020. The band director Jay Wardesk and Brunswick High School Marching Band received an invitation on behalf of the city of London and Queen Elizabeth II to perform in the parade on April 11. A few weeks later the school board unanimously voted to send the band to England. Members of the 2019-20 marching band and marching band alumni and invited to be involved.

Medina Community Band Summer Concert Series

On June 1 the Medina Community Band will kick off its summer concert series in Medina’s Uptown Park Gazebo. Throughout the months of June and July, the band will play every Friday beginning at 8:30 p.m. Under the lead of conductor Marcus Neiman, the band plays three to four concerts on the road and at home throughout the fall, winter and spring in addition to their popular summer concert series.

Brunswick Summer Celebration

From June 20-24 Brunswick Productions Inc. will hold it’s annual Brunswick Summer Celebration. The festival will consist of five full days of games, live music and entertainment, giveaways, a cheerful parade and beautiful fireworks. The festival will take place on the Brunswick High School campus.
