Every Thing Coming Up Roses 7

Welcome (back) to rosewood Grill

Try something new, “all over again”, and experience the all new summer menu, or time-tested fan favorites. Rosewood Grill serves up a laid-back vibe of expertly crafted dining at real-world prices.

Rosewood Grill brings the outdoors in and exists in perfect harmony with its lush, natural surroundings. Pull up a cozy Adirondack rocking chair or two alongside the curving, free-form fire pit tucked underneath cedar-planked pergolas on the patio. “There’s a party on the patio around the fire pit each night,” quips Chris Kneeland, Managing Partner of Rosewood Grill. “It’s the perfect spot to relax and get a mini ‘stay-cation’ while never leaving town.”

The first outpost in the historic Turners Mill building in Hudson opened in 2009. It was so popular from the onset that a second location seemed a natural progression and Strongsville was clearly in sight. “We have had an incredible first 5 years here, we’ve made a lot of friends,” Kneeland continues, “and we can’t wait to make more. We’ve been so well received from Medina to Middleburg that we’ve taken it as a challenge to continue to develop our offerings and be the benchmark
of the growing local dining scene.” The restaurant group, which also runs award-winning restaurants Blue Point Grille, Delmonico’s Steakhouse and the new Kingfish in Montrose has since opened a third successful Rosewood location in Westlake, across from Crocker Park.

Their menu is ever evolving, and continues to showcase the highest quality ingredients. “We don’t accept anything less than perfection from our purveyors,” says Kneeland, “and the tireless focus of the entire team is to highlight the quality of each offering.” Favorites like the Sushi Shots have been on from day 1. Delicately diced #1 sashimi grade tuna is stacked upon a creamy avocado base then tucked in a crispy shell accented with soy and sriracha. Creamy delicious layers of brie cheese atop carefully selected forest mushrooms creates one of the all time favorites on the Rosewood menu, the Mushroom and Brie Flatbread. “It’s a sexy flatbread, great to share and not a flavor experience copycat restaurants have,” Kneeland pontificates.

One of the newer additions is a weekend special offering of Certified Angus Beef Prime Rib. “The enthusiasm has been huge for a king cut of this delicious slow-roasted favorite”. Kneeland continues, “It’s always a question of a throwback dish being as good as you remember, and in this case, it’s better”. Served to temp with a rich au jus and a luscious yet spicy horseradish sauce, it’s heaven on a platter. Offered Friday – Sunday, Rosewood goes on to feature this succulent special for $10 off each Sunday. Reservations are highly recommended.

The ever-changing libations line-up highlights seasonal craft beers, an array of bottled specialty beers and fresh handmade cocktails. An extremely affordable wine list features 75 bottles, many served by the glass, and maintains a variety of producers and regions that can satisfy any palate. “We are particularly proud of our beverage selections and promotions,” Kneeland croons off tune. “We have featured wines by the glass from prominent producers with great history like Cakebread, Ferrari-Carano and Duckhorn yet offer eclectic wines to find a perfect match to the mood of the evening.” Craft cocktails and craft beer selections have been a focus since day one featuring Rosewood Red by local brewing superstar, Thirsty Dog Brewery. With award-winning selections across the cocktail page choosing only one at a time is the real challenge.

Rosewood Grill offers reservations by calling the restaurant, via their website or through OpenTable.com. “In a restaurant town burgeoning with new places, where eateries open and close with regularity, the ongoing allure of our restaurants is no mystery,” says Kneeland. “We craft a unique dining experience people can savor without having to go to national chains. We always take the extra step to give our guests the ultimate experience of service.”
