Happy New Year! 2017 is going to be a year full of great things—opportunities, memories, and, hopefully, a healthier me. I have made a resolution this year to avoid buying junk food and to take advantage of my gym membership everyday. Though I try to keep healthy on a regular basis, now is a great time to drop the “try” and start keeping healthy. Turns out, my resolution is similar to most Americans’. Each year, losing weight and staying fit and healthy rank as the top resolutions that Americans set out to accomplish.
It is no surprise, then, that these resolutions are also the most commonly broken. If you have made a goal to invent a new you with the New Year, no worries. We met up with Tinman Fitness to learn about how to stick to your goals, and Dr. Randall from Cloverleaf Animal Hospital offered advice on fun ways to keep active with your dog. After all, is there truly a better reward than seeing your best friend’s tail wagging at the idea of staying fit with you?
From tips to recipes to health-related services that you should know about, the “New Year, New You!” issue is dedicated to keeping you on track to achieving your goals. Plus, we offer some insight into the Shen Yun show, a celebration of Chinese culture that is a great way to reward yourself for sticking to your goals and a great way to kick off the American and Chinese New Year.
