January 2017 Around Town

Help Your Community Health

Switching to a plant-based diet is a great way to help you accomplish your New Year wellness goals. Their website offers information on the benefits of a meat-free diet, as well as information on how to get involved.

Locally, there are opportunities to get involved by passing out information leaflets, taking advantage of an internship, or by participating in the Vegan Mentor Program as a mentor or a mentee. Vegan Outreach recently launched a petition calling for California Pizza Kitchen to become the largest restaurant chain in the United States serving a pizza with vegan cheese. You can sign and share the petition online (VeganOutreach.org/CPK) to let California Pizza Kitchen know you’d love to eat a vegan cheese pizza.

Visit VeganOutreach.org or email Greater Ohio Outreach Coordinator Sean Hennessy at SeanH@VeganOutreach.org for more information.
