Health Markets is Here to Help!

Find the best insurance policy for you

Patrick Althof knows that shopping for insurance can be difficult. After all, there are countless carriers and policies out there. How can you find an insurance policy that is just right for you?

As a former teacher, Althof knows that education is essential to developing a full understanding of any topic. That is why he became a Health Markets agent—his goal is to educate, assist, and advise people as they shop for the right insurance policy.

With Medicare open enrollment beginning October 15, now is a great time to begin searching for the right policy. Having a Health Markets agent as an advocate you can reach out to with questions or concerns lessens the stress of insurance shopping. The best part? All of their services are free, and there is no fee for using an agent.

“It doesn’t cost you anything else to have someone going to bat for you when you have an issue,” says Althof.

“People new to Medicare will get a ton of mail, and we’ll help them understand what all the coverage is and is not. We help them make sense of the choices they have and help them understand how their insurance policy will work. The best part is knowing that we are helping people lessen the burden of finding the right plan, and I especially love having the opportunity to continue educating.”

Health Markets is a full service brokerage that offers insurance plans from over 200 companies nationwide, which allows you to find a policy that has exactly what you want. Since Health Markets opened their Medina location one year ago, they have assisted 1,000 locals in finding the right policy.

Before you stop in to meet your new agent, Althof offers a list of pointers to keep in mind:

  1. First and foremost, don’t wait until the end. Medicare open enrollment may be open until December 7, but it is always a good idea to get started early. That last week of enrollment is incredibly busy for Health Markets and the insurance company. Make sure to get in early to make your search as stress-free as possible.
  2. Have a good sense of an affordible monthly budget. When it comes to insurance policies, you get what you pay for. Have an idea of what is important to you and what you feel comfortable paying.
  3. Know which providers you want to go to. A lot of us have preferred health care providers, and when you find somebody you like and trust, you stick with them. You can always find a plan that covers the people you want to go to.
  4. Keep an accurate record of all paperwork. Medicare cards, insurance claims, insurance statements, doctors visits, and so on. It is all important, so keep that organized and have it accessible before you meet with your agent.

Sounds easy, right? With Health Markets, it is. Your agent is an expert on what policy will work best for you and is ready to offer you support. With health insurance having undergone recent changes, it is comforting to know that your agent will be an educator and adviser through every concern and question.
