Introduced in 2009, RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service.
Each year on the second Thursday of May, Keller Williams associates celebrate Keller Williams Vice Chairman Mo Anderson’s birthday by spending the day away from their businesses to serve worthy organizations and causes in their communities.
This year’s project was to paint a barn for Cal, 84 and Mary Ann Bias, 82. Built 40 years ago, the barn hadn’t been painted in about 15 years. Cal is a Korean War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. The couple have been married 62 years and have four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cal and Mary Ann loved having everyone at their home.
Tompot Turf Care donated mulch to freshen up the yard. CHM Lending and Title Alliance of Northeast Ohio provided lunch for the volunteers.
RED Day is just another example of the commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where the Keller Williams team members live and work. In addition to Red Day, Keller Williams Tri-County Properties hosts one charity event a year that also raises funds to support local charities. Past recipients of proceeds raised at the Annual Charity Fundraiser include Medina Creative Housing, Shop-With-A-Cop, Hospice of Medina County, Cups Café, and The Children’s Center of Medina County.
