Medina County Fair

From August 1 to 7, the Medina County Fair returns for their 2016 season. Entertainment includes demo derbies, bull riding, tractor pulls, and more. Entertainment information and daily schedules are available online.

SHC Golf Outing

The Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County/ the ARC of Medina County will host their fourth annual Golf Outing August 8 from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Attendees can choose to participate in golf and dinner or dinner only. The event will include golf contests, silent auctions, and socializing. 330.722.1900 ext. 196

National Carpet Mill Outlet Groundbreaking

National Carpet Mill Outlet broke ground in June for their new facility on Route 18 in Medina. Set to open in 2017, this location will feature a wide selection of flooring, a children’s play area, furnished room vignettes with working kitchens, an in-store interior design workshops, a café, and so much more. The store will feature the largest selection of flooring, cabinetry and counter tops available in Northeast Ohio.

Millennium Rehabilitation Open House

Millennium Rehabilitation – A Physical Therapy and Sportsmedicine Center, is a locally owned and operated company, and they have been providing physical therapy care to the people of Medina County since 2002. They have just moved their clinic from the Hinckley Corporate Park into their new location, the “renovated” Hinckley Medical Center, located at 2546 Center Road, Hinckley. Join us at their Open House this October, where they will be providing free health screens, refreshments, and raffle prizes. Salon Evangelene Aquage Makeover

Salon Evangelene, a Medina salon owned by Angel Brown, was featured on WKYC Channel 3 as the set for an Aquage team makeover. The segment aired in June on Live on Lakeside. Wadsworth Thursday Nights Summer Breeze Concerts

The Thursday Nights Summer Breeze Concert Series offers free entertainment Thursday nights at the Gazebo in East Park, 120 Maple St., Wadsworth. Two final concerts in this series will be offered at 7 pm August 4 and 11.

Northern Ohio Railway Museum

The Northern Ohio Railway Museum is free and open to the public Saturdays through mid-October from 10 am to 4 pm. Located on two miles of the historic Cleveland Southwestern Railway in Chippewa Lake, this nonprofit museum features over forty streetcars and other types of railway equipment  that are either operable or will be restored for operation.

BEAT Students Keep Busy

Students in the Brunswick City Schools Video Program works as backpack journalists for Brunswick Educational Access Television (the BEAT) Channel 22 throughout the school year. During the summer months, the students try to stay active in the community. In June, the students had the opportunity to work as announcers at the Brunswick Summer Celebration.
