FOP Lodge 204 to host Honor Run

The 2016 Medina County FOP Lodge 204 Honor Run  on Saturday, July 16 is a Poker Run to benefit the creation of the Honor Guard, to serve families of our fallen during their greatest time of need. The 2016 Honor Run will begin at Stinger Harley with the first bike out at noon and the last bike out at 3 pm. Run ends with an after-party at Geno’s with a live band, food, cash prizes and silent auction. $25 per bike and $10 for non-riders. For information, contact Jeff Kinney at kinneyj@fop.net.

31st Arts Week Festival kicks off Monday, July 11

Sponsored by The Medina County Arts Council for the past 31 years, the Arts Week Festival begins Monday, July 11 and runs through Saturday, July 16, followed by Art in the Park, the major art show and sale sponsored by The Medina County Art League on Sunday, July 17 on Medina Square. Arts Week programs will be presented by local artists and entertainers for children and adults on Medina Square and in Brunswick at the Community Recreation Center or the library. Lunchtime performances are designed to provide entertainment and learning in the arts for children. Evening concerts are focused on adult and family audiences. Additional concerts are scheduled on various evenings  at Sharon Center Circle, at Mill Stream Park in Valley City, and in Wadsworth. The event is supported by grants from The Ohio Arts Council and The Medina County Community Fund. Spectacular Pet-tacular draws people and pets

Tails were wagging at the first annual Pet-tacular on Saturday, May 7 at Medina Fairgrounds. Hosted by the Medina County Auditors office, the event featured activities for pets including doggy yoga, massages, photos and fun. Kids got in on the action too; Kacey Costello won an award in Pet-tacular’s coloring contest in the 10 -12 age group.

Twin Sizzler is July 4

Twin Sizzler returns to Medina on Saturday, July 4. Organized by Faith in Action Medina Caregivers, the Sizzler includes a 5k run, 10k run 27-mile bike race, 5k walk and 1-mile fun run. For information visit RunSignUp.com.

The Lodge at Allardale presents guitarist Brian Henke
