Doors and More 5

“Our employees separate us from the competition. Our success comes down to our people. We care about what we do,” says Bob Habeger, general manager for Wayne Garage Door Sales and Service, Inc.

Wayne Door isn’t just about residential entry and garage doors – the company offers awnings, central vacuum, gate systems, patio doors, storm doors and windows. On the commercial side, Wayne Door installs access control systems, entry doors, gate operators, high speed doors, loading dock equipment, modular stairs and work platforms.

With three crews for commercial garage door installations at industrial plants, car dealerships and more, Wayne Door also has five employees who install residential entry doors, windows and patio doors.  “We also have four residential garage door installers,” says Bob. “Each of our reps specializes in a different area of our business.

“We do what we say we’re going to do,” he says, “we show up when we say we will. We have an experienced, well-trained, and knowledgeable staff with a diversity of skills to meet the needs of our customers. Whether you’re looking at a major renovation, or just want to replace a door, our experienced sales professionals will work with you to determine the style, construction, and type of product that will fit your home’s appearance, your family’s needs, and your budget. Once you’ve made a selection, you can rest assured that your installations will be handled by professionals – efficiently, expertly, and correctly.”

At the showroom, reps use computer software to give customers an idea of what that new door or those new windows will look like. And if you can’t make it to the showroom, a Wayne Door rep will come to your home with the software and an IPad so you can see for yourself what your purchase will look like.

“We do lots of other things,” says Bob, “if we’re putting in a front door, we can do some of the smaller contracting work like reframing the door, tearing out bricks, setting cultured stone. That way, you don’t have to hire a separate contractor to do the work.”

Wayne Door is housed in two buildings spanning 33,000 sq. ft. and employs 51 people. With a fleet of 19 trucks and 6 scissor lifts to install and service doors, Wayne Door prides itself on the unmatched integrity and unrelenting honesty with which Menno Yoder founded the business in 1973.

Menno was a conservative Mennonite with a strong work ethic. He was dedicated to providing impeccable customer service. Menno established the first service department in the area, a department that still exists with highly skilled craftsmen and technicians who provide quick service and repair.

The commercial side of the business was developed in the late 1980s, after which the company diversified into entry doors and vinyl replacement windows. Loading dock installation and servicing were added in the late 1990s.

Through 40 years of growth, Wayne Door has never lost focus of why it is in business. “We’re in business to serve the customer,” Bob says.

In 2000, Wayne Door was awarded the Joseph A. Caputo award by the International Door Association, an award given to a door dealer for its contributions and dedication to the door and operator industry.

“I want to stress that we try to utilize as much local products as possible,” says Bob, “We use Ohio-made Haas garage doors and HP products made in Canton, Ohio. We buy our lumber from Keim Lumber. ProVia patio doors are made in Walnut Creek, Ohio.”

Wayne Garage Door Sales and Service is dedicated to providing the most complete line of doors to fit your garage or home. Commercial services include preventative maintenance inspection, damaged section replacement, and broken spring replacement. From new construction to replacing that old worn-out-in-need-of-a-paint-job door, Wayne Door staff are dedicated to meeting a customer’s needs.

“We’re upfront and honest, fair and competitively priced,” says Bob, “And our employees care.”
