The Art of Pampering 1

Discover a New You at Legacy Hair Studios

For a new look in the New Year,  Legacy Hair Studios offers pampering services designed to leave every guest feeling refreshed, relaxed and beautiful.

Owner Dolly Hanreck, who operates four Legacy Hair Studios in Medina, Wadsworth, Middleburg Heights and Northfield, recommends three different treatments in 2016.

“The GK Fast-Blow-Dry Taming System is fabulous,” Hanreck says. “It’s a 20-minute treatment for hair that lasts through eight to 10 shampoos. We spray it on and blow-dry it in. It reduces drying time, tames frizz and adds shine.” The service costs $35.

Supervisor Alberta Skraba, who manages the four salons, suggests the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratriplex treatment available in Legacy’s Lather Lounge at all locations.

“The Wild Ginger treatment increases shine, reduces color fade and breakage,” Skraba says. “It’s a two-step process completed in just 30 minutes, while guests enjoy a ginger ale, tropical trail mix and a massage for hands and arms. Best of all, the $35 treatment is just $15 in January and February.”

Skraba also recommends the revitalizing, repairing and renewing Marula Oil Masque for hair. The 20-minute service, which is regularly priced at $20, will be offered for just $10 in January and February.

Legacy carries a full line of Paul Mitchell products.

“If you’re coloring your hair, you want to protect your investment by keeping your hair healthy with a sulfate-free, good quality shampoo,” Hanreck says. “We have Paul Mitchell body-building products for fine hair, smoothing products for frizzy hair, a men’s line that smells fabulous and more.”

Hanreck and the Legacy staff learned new tricks, trends and techniques at a recent Paul Mitchell show in Covington, Kentucky.

According to Hanreck, this year’s hottest trends are a bit surprising and very whimsical. “You’ll see rose gold hair. Violet and pink pastel peekaboo highlights. Silvery gray metallics. The Mod look, inspired by Paul Mitchell and Vidal Sassoon in the 60s, will be huge. Short hair will be geometric. Long hair will have a wonderful deconstructed look – braids and up-dos will be hot, messy, deconstructed and elegant all at the same time.”

Hanreck says the Blowout Bar is one of the newest trends in 2016. “A professional blow-out is the latest pampering craze. It started in New York and we’ve brought it to Legacy. Women are coming into our salons for a quick shampoo and style in the morning before the workday, after a workout, or in the late afternoon for date night. It’s just $15 and we give our guests a dry shampoo to extend the life of the style.”

Hanreck says the Legacy motto is to go above and beyond, for every guest – every time.

When you think about it, that’s exactly the kind of pampering we need in the New Year.
